Dr. Michael J. Reid, M.D., is highly skilled in the study and treatment of allergies and asthma with 20+ years of experience. He has been a leader in this field, helping to perform foundational research that informs how allergies are treated today. Michael J. Reid was born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester, New York, then moved west and studied medicine at University of Oregon Medical School. He initially did a residency in General Practice and then completed a residency in Pediatrics at Stanford. With an interest in the intricacies of the immune system, he went back to Stanford for a prestigious Fellowship in Allergies and Immunology. Dr. Reid has spent many years teaching Internal Medicine residents, Pediatric residents, and Medical students. Dr. Reid is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. In addition to his private practice in San Francisco, he is also affiliated with California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Reid is the current Vice President and Committee Chair of the Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Foundation of Northern California, leading the organization of the group's annual symposium. He keeps up on the latest research in the field, offering a combination of time-tested and cutting edge approaches to supporting the immune system. Dr. Reid is Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF and is the author of many scientific articles on allergies, asthma and immunology.
